Jim Kelly helps empower kids with hearing loss - WKBW-TV
NEW YORK, N.Y. (WKBW) — Former Buffalo Bills quarterback and HearStrong ambassador Jim Kelly joined GMA Strahan and Sara Thursday to recognize two sisters who are raising money for kids in need of hearing aids.
Kelly was joined by HearStrong's Founder, Ed Keller, to present a $5,000 donation to Carly and Emma Waters so they can help more kids.
HearStrong says they aim to raise another $10,000, which they say the will match, for a total of $25,000.
Carly and Emma decided to begin raising money for those in need of hearing aids because Emma and her younger sibling Molly have hearing loss.
When Carly found out how expensive hearing aids were and how many families have difficulty affording them, she decided to wanted to help and started sewing and selling stuffed lemons to raise money.
6-year-old Emma helps Carly make her lemons.
“I want to help people hear better and I want people to be happy and proud of their ears” says Emma. “I want to let people know all about hearing aids and how they are awesome!”
