State suspends adult foster care license for Macomb Township home - The Macomb Daily

The adult foster care license for a Macomb Township facility has been suspended and may be revoked after the filing of a 12-count complaint by the state Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs' Bureau of Community and Health Systems.

An investigation of the facility known as True Tender Loving Care Adult Fostering LLC, located in the 45000 block on Lone Pine Road, north of Hall Road between Card and Heydenreich roads, found violations of the Adult Foster Care Facility Licensing Act and administrative rules, according to LARA.

The license obtained by the owner in 2018 to care for up to five residents was suspended effective Oct. 4, the complaint says. The suspension prohibits True Tender Loving Care from operating an adult foster care small group home at that location or anywhere else, LARA officials said in a news release.

Officials said they took "emergency action to protect the health, welfare, and safety of vulnerable adults."

The complaint alleges the operator has failed to maintain proper records of employees and residents, conduct proper background checks of employees, provide proof of training of employees, keep records of and properly administer prescription medications to residents, maintain menus for residents' diets, and cooperate with an investigation.

An administrative hearing will soon be scheduled before an administrative law judge with the Michigan Office of Administrative Hearings and Rules, officials said.
